Furry Sorry

Howdy!

Unfortunately, loss is a part of life.  Sometimes, we lose those closest to us.  An old friend recently lost her beloved pet of many years.  And though I cannot replace him or hug her in person, I can let her know that I understand her pain and that she is in my prayers.  Below is the card that I am sending her.

I started by mixing embossing paste with Smoky Slate ink from the reinker on a silicone mat (I used at least five drops, because I wanted it to look like Basic Gray and I do not yet have that reinker).  Using a palette knife, I spread it across one of our Pattern Party Decorative Masks atop a Pool Party A2 card base.  I set that aside to dry and immediate washed off everything that had embossing paste on it.

While the embossing paste dried (it, honestly, does not take long), I used Basic Gray ink to stamp the big "sorry" from the Sorry For Everything on thick white.  I layered that over a piece of Basic Gray cardstock using dimensionals.

With the embossing paste dried, I tied a piece of Basic Gray 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon in a bow around the bottom of the card.  I used a mini glue dot behind the knot to make sure that it stay precisely where I liked.  With that done, I added the sentiment piece with Fast Fuse.  Finally, on a piece of thick white I stamped an inside sentiment from the same set to line the card - "for the loss of your furry friend" - and added that to the inside of the card with Snail.

Thank you for visiting!
